Privacy notice
This notice is from Pepy (pepy.in) (“we”). It explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: we collect only what learning needs, we never sell it, and we never use it for ads.
What we collect
- Pilot sign-up on pepy.in: your name, WhatsApp number, class, and email if you give it.
- Your Pepy account: mobile number, full name, the name you want to be called, date of birth, subtitle language, reminder times, and email if you add it.
- Your learning: which topics you watch, your answers, whether they were right, and how long they took.
- Purchases: what you bought, when, and the payment reference. Card and UPI details stay with Razorpay or Google Play.
Why
To run your account, teach you (choosing questions, showing reports and tiers), invite you to the pilot, send reminders you asked for, handle payments and receipts, and fix problems you report. Nothing else.
What we never do
We never sell your data, never use it for advertising, and never show you ads. pepy.in has no advertising trackers; we count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies.
Who sees it
You, and the small Pepy team where needed to help you. Service providers process it for us only to run Pepy: Cloudflare (hosting and storage), Razorpay and Google Play (payments), and our SMS provider (sign-in codes).
Students under 18
Students under 18 use Pepy with a parent’s or guardian’s permission. A parent or guardian can write to privacy@pepy.in to see, correct or delete their child’s data.
How long we keep it
- Pilot sign-ups: until the pilot opens and six months after, or until you ask us to delete them.
- Account and learning data: until you delete your account.
- Payment records: as long as Indian tax law requires.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time by writing to privacy@pepy.in, and you can delete your account yourself. We reply within 7 days.
Changes
If we change this notice, the date above changes, and we tell account holders about anything important.
